Commissioner General of Examinations A.K.S. Indika Kumari has announced the results of this year’s 2024 GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) examination, and he said that 237,026 students have passed and qualified to be examined in the GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examination.
The figure amounts to 73.45% of the total number of candidates that took this year’s exam.
A record of 13,392 students (4.15%) has gained 9A passes, and this evidence displays rare passage in all the subjects.
Which Province Performed Best?
The department also shows that the percentages of the students qualifying at the A/Ls in the Southern Province were highest at 75.64%, and close behind are the Central and Western provinces, respectively.
