The Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education, Nalaka Kaluwewa, gave an update today (02) about reopening schools.
He said at a media briefing that schools in provinces and districts not affected by issues like transport problems, communication difficulties, or power cuts will reopen on December 16, after reviewing the situation in each area.
He also mentioned that decisions about reopening the remaining schools will be made soon, after discussions with the relevant provincial and district officials.
