The Ministry of Education has released Circular No. 18/2026, introducing revised guidelines for granting foreign leave to students enrolled in government schools.
The new circular applies to students from Grade 1 to Grade 13 studying in both national and provincial government schools who need to travel overseas with their parents or legal guardians for personal reasons.
Under the revised procedures, the authority responsible for approving foreign leave applications varies according to the total duration of the leave requested.
