The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka has invited applications for the Hindu Daham Pasal Final Certificate Examination 2026, also referred to as the Araneri Schools Final Certificate Examination.
The examination is expected to be conducted in October 2026. Applications will be accepted from 24 July 2026 to 24 August 2026.

Eligibility
Applicants should possess at least one of the following qualifications:
- Have passed Grade 10 at an Araneri School conducted or registered under the Department of Hindu Religious and Cultural Affairs and completed the Final Certificate class either fully or partly.
- Have passed Hinduism as a subject at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.

- 02 – Hindu Philosophy
- 03 – Hindu Literature
- 04 – Hinduism: A Way of Life / Practice of Religion
Examination Fee
- Applicants appearing for the first time are exempted from the examination fee.
- The general examination fee is Rs. 200.
- External applicants should pay Rs. 200.
- The fee for completing a previously referred subject is Rs. 50.
- The applicable fee should be paid through a post office under Revenue Head 20-03-02-13.
- The original payment receipt should be attached to the application.
- Payment by stamps or money orders is not accepted.
How to Apply
- Applications must be submitted through the relevant registered Araneri School.
- Private or external applicants cannot apply directly to the Department of Examinations.
- Eligible external applicants should apply through the Araneri School nearest to their place of residence.
- The application should be completed in duplicate.
- The original application should be sent to the Department of Examinations, while the duplicate should be retained by the Head of the Araneri School.
- The Head of the Araneri School must sign the application and place the institution’s official stamp.
- Applicants requiring special facilities should clearly mention their requirements and attach copies of the relevant medical certificates.
- Applications should be sent by registered post early enough to reach the Department before the closing date.
