The Indian (ICCR) Undergraduate Scholarships offered by Nehru Memorial and Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship aim to support students in achieving their educational goals by providing financial assistance and other benefits.
Applications are invited from eligible Sri Lankan citizens for 60 undergraduate scholarships offered by the Government of India under the Nehru Memorial and Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship Schemes for the 2026/27 academic year.
General Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
- Age should be between 18 and 40 years as of 16 March 2026.
- Candidates must have at least three passes in the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination in relevant subjects conducted by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka.
- Applicants should have a good command of English, with a minimum “C” pass in G.C.E. O/L English and at least an “S” pass in G.C.E. A/L English or an equivalent qualification.
- Candidates must be in good health and willing to reside in India during the study period.
- Applicants must not be currently enrolled as internal students in a basic degree program at a Sri Lankan state university through the University Grants Commission (UGC). 🎓
