An Islandwide Vocational Career Development Programme has been introduced by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education under the Vocational Education Division for students appearing for the GCE Advanced Level Examination – 2025.
The main objective of this initiative is to support A/L students by offering career guidance and skill development related to vocational education, helping them make informed decisions about their future pathways.
The programme will commence in January 2026 and will be conducted in selected schools across Sri Lanka.
The closing date for applications is 31 January 2026.
As part of the programme, students will be trained in:
- Practical English Communication
- Information Technology Skills
- Literary and Aesthetic Development
- Sports and Physical Fitness
- Vocational and Technical Education
