Circular 26/2014: Students Who Fail O/L Maths Twice Can Do A/Ls
Are you wondering if a student who has failed GCE O/L Mathematics twice can still pursue their Advanced Level (A/L) education? According to the Sri Lankan Ministry of Education Circular No. 26/2014, these students cannot be removed or expelled from school. Instead, they are officially permitted to continue their A/L studies in eligible streams (such as Arts or Bio Systems Technology) while preparing for a third attempt at the Mathematics paper, protecting their school candidate status for essential exams like the General Information Technology (GIT) test.
