Applications are now being called from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for admission to the Orientation and Coordination Course conducted for recruitment to the post of Pharmacist in the Supplementary Medical Professions Service – 2026.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 164 Pharmacist vacancies in the public service, in accordance with the Cabinet approval granted on 03 March 2026.
Eligible candidates who meet the prescribed qualifications are encouraged to submit their applications within the specified period and carefully follow the instructions provided in the official notification.
According to Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025, the salary scale applicable to the post of Pharmacist in the Supplementary Medical Professions Service is as follows:
Salary Scale: MT-6-2025
Rs. 54,120 – 10×800 – 11×1,190 – 10×1,320 – 10×1,350 – Rs. 101,910
Selected candidates will be entitled to receive salaries and allowances in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Public Administration Circulars and government regulations in force.
Training Details
Selected candidates will undergo practical training at designated hospitals and other healthcare institutions approved by the relevant authorities.
The training programme will span a period of six (06) months, during which trainees will receive the necessary orientation and professional guidance required for the post of Pharmacist in the Supplementary Medical Professions Service.
The Orientation and Coordination Course will be conducted in the English medium. During the training period, candidates will be entitled to receive allowances in accordance with the provisions of Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025.
Prior to the commencement of training, all selected candidates will be required to sign a mandatory agreement and surety bond as stipulated by the relevant regulations.
