Revision of the Allowance
Under the previous Circular No. 16/2017 (I), dated 27 April 2026, arrangements had been made to pay the revised special monthly allowance to principals with effect from 01 April 2026.
However, approval has now been received from the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development to implement the revised allowance with effect from 01 January 2026.
Important: The revised allowance is applicable from 01 January 2026, rather than 01 April 2026.
