Applications are now open for the Bachelor of Arts Honours in Tamil and Tamil Language Teaching Degree Programme for the academic year 2026/2027, offered by the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL).
This programme is designed for individuals seeking to build a career in Tamil language education or enhance their existing qualifications in the field of Tamil and Tamil Language Teaching.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Passed a minimum of three subjects at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination, including Tamil as a subject.
- Passed a minimum of three subjects at the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination in the Tamil medium and obtained at least a “B” grade in Tamil and Tamil Literature at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination.
- Successfully completed the National Diploma in Teaching Tamil Language offered by the National Colleges of Education.
- Possess any other equivalent or higher qualification recognized and accepted by the Senate of the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL).
