Circular and Instructions on School Structure Matters

The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education regularly receives requests from schools concerning structural changes and other administrative matters. Such requests are submitted to the Ministry, Provincial Departments of Education, and Zonal Education Offices.

Decisions on matters that are clearly identified as school structural issues, as outlined in Section 1.1 below, are taken by the Structural Committees of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, the Provincial Departments of Education, and the Zonal Education Offices. In addition, these committees may also consider recommendations on specific matters submitted by the Head of the Institution, when necessary.

This Manual of Instructions has been issued by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education with the objective of streamlining the procedure for submitting requests to the relevant structural committees and ensuring that such requests are implemented in a consistent and uniform manner across the island.
