The University of Kelaniya has announced the admission of students to the Bachelor of Arts in Library and Information Science General (External) Degree Programme – 2025, offered through the Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE).
Eligible candidates can submit their applications online from 12 October 2026 to 26 October 2026.

Entry Qualifications
Applicants should satisfy one of the following eligibility routes:
- Have obtained the required passes in three subjects at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination conducted by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka, in one sitting.
- Have completed, on or after 01 January 2016, a Diploma or Higher Diploma in Library and Information Science awarded by the University of Kelaniya.
- Have completed a one-year service period as a librarian in a recognised library or as a librarian in a government or private institution.
